2024 GROMFEST Invitational REGISTRATION AND WAIVER

In applying to enter the Gromfest on August 17, 2024 at Ocean Beach, San Diego, I promise to inspect the contest site and assure myself that the area is safe and further agree that I will not surf in the contest unless I am satisfied that the area and conditions are safe for surfing purposes. I attest that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for the event. In consideration of your acceptance of my entry, I, intending to be legally bound, hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, hold harmless and release the Sunset Cliffs Surfing Association, their officers, directors, employees, representatives, agents, volunteers, all sponsors, their representatives, successors and assigns, and any officials connected with this competition from liability for injury and/or damages whatsoever, arising from my participation or presence at this competition. I hereby freely and knowingly grant my full consent and release to the Sponsors and Agents thereof for usage of all photographs, video tape, or motion film productions for the purpose of media exposure including social media.  

No official or volunteer of the Gromfest, in any capacity, shall at any time be subjected to unsportsmanlike conduct in either word or deed. Any display of poor sportsmanship by either a competitor or the competitor’s parent, shall be cause for automatic dismissal of the competitor from the contest and future contest. This also applies to unsportsmanlike conduct directed to another competitor by any competitor.  

TO THE PARENTS OR LEGAL GUARDIANS OF PARTICIPANTS UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE: I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT I AM THE PARENT, OR LEGAL GUARDIAN OF THE PARTICIPANT NAMED ABOVE, AND DO HEREBY GIVE MY CONSENT WITHOUT RESERVATION TO THE FOREGOING AND AGREE TO HOLD THE AFOREMENTIONED HARMLESS FROM ANY LIABILITY. 

By paying the entry fee I acknowledge that I have read, agree to, and understood the above.
